9 Best Email Marketing Agencies in 2026, Scored and Compared

Email still pays back more than almost any channel. In Litmus’s research on email ROI, 35% of companies see $10 to $36 for every $1 they spend, and another 30% see $36 to $50. But that return depends on the email reaching the inbox. Validity’s State of Email 2024 found average inbox placement of 86%, with 7% going straight to spam. Since February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo have also enforced strict rules for bulk senders.

So an email marketing agency has two jobs: getting your email delivered, and making it earn once it lands. We compared 9 agencies on both, plus pricing, proof and fit for B2B. SeeResponse wrote this list and ranks itself first. The scoring method and the source for every fact are below. Facts come from each agency’s website and Clutch profile, checked in September 2026.

Email marketing in 2026: the numbers that matter

Two of these change how you should judge an agency. First, about 1 email in 14 lands in spam (Validity’s 7%), so deliverability work comes before design. Second, Apple’s privacy proxy inflates open rates, so an agency that reports opens as its main result is reporting a number you can’t trust. Ask for clicks, replies, meetings and revenue.

The Gmail and Yahoo sender rules every agency must meet

Since February 1, 2024, Gmail and Yahoo require bulk senders to meet these standards. An agency that can’t set them up for you will lose your email to spam folders.

Best for: B2B companies that want email marketing, marketing automation and cold email run as one program and tied to pipeline. Score: 91/100

Based inFoundedTeamClutchPricing
McLean, VA201910 to 494.8 from 36 reviews$2,500 to $7,500 a month for most retainers; month to month

SeeResponse is a full-service email marketing agency for B2B companies. It plans, builds and runs campaigns, automations and cold email, and works in HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp and Pardot. Clutch lists email as 45% of its work. Because the same team runs HubSpot and CRM, outbound and SEO, email results are reported as meetings and pipeline alongside opens and clicks.

Strengths

  • Deliverability-led results: in its Joovv case study, email revenue rose 36% after SeeResponse rebuilt list hygiene, sender reputation and campaigns.
  • Runs both permission-based email and cold email, which B2B teams usually buy from two vendors.
  • Published pricing and month-to-month terms.

Limitations

  • Built for B2B. Ecommerce brands that live in Klaviyo and SMS will get more from Flowium or InboxArmy.
  • A team of 10 to 49, so very high-volume template production is better suited to Email Uplers.

Most agencies here start at a $1,000 minimum project on Clutch, with hourly rates from under $25 (Belkins) to $150 to $199 (SmartBug). The platform itself (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp) is billed separately.

How to choose an email marketing agency

  1. Start with deliverability. Ask how the agency sets up SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and how it keeps spam complaints under Gmail’s 0.30% line.
  2. Match the agency to your model. B2B email nurtures buying groups over months and hands leads to sales. Ecommerce email drives repeat purchases. Few agencies do both well.
  3. Ask what they report. With 70% of opens coming from Apple’s privacy proxy (Validity), open rates alone mislead. Ask for clicks, replies, meetings and revenue.
  4. Check platform experience. Make sure the agency has run programs on your platform, or has a plan to migrate you.
  5. Read the contract. Month-to-month terms keep the agency earning its fee.

Questions to ask on the first call

  1. How will you authenticate our domain and monitor our sender reputation?
  2. What did you change for a client like us, and what happened to revenue or pipeline?
  3. How do you report email’s effect on leads and sales?
  4. Do you run cold email as well as marketing email, and how do you keep them from hurting each other’s deliverability?
  5. What does our fee cover each month, and what’s the notice period?

Frequently asked questions

What does an email marketing agency do?

An email marketing agency plans, builds and runs your email program. That covers strategy, list growth and segmentation, campaign and newsletter design, automation such as welcome and nurture sequences, deliverability, and reporting. B2B agencies also connect email to the CRM so sales can see which contacts engage.

Is email marketing still worth it in 2026?

Yes. In Litmus’s research, 35% of companies see $10 to $36 back for every $1 spent, and 30% see $36 to $50. Email is also one of the channels B2B marketers use most: 73% distribute content through email newsletters (Content Marketing Institute).

What are the Gmail and Yahoo bulk sender requirements?

Since February 1, 2024, senders of bulk email to Gmail and Yahoo must authenticate with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, offer one-click unsubscribe, and keep spam complaint rates below 0.3%. See Google’s sender guidelines and Yahoo’s best practices.

Why is SeeResponse ranked first?

We wrote this list, so we published our scoring method and a source for every fact. SeeResponse scores highest because it’s built for B2B, starts with deliverability (as its Joovv results show), runs marketing email and cold email together, reports email against pipeline, and publishes month-to-month pricing. For ecommerce email on Klaviyo, Flowium or InboxArmy will suit you better.
