What is Retweet?

A re-posting of a tweet posted by another user on Twitter. Retweets look like normal tweets except for the retweet icon. This is a critical aspect of the digital ecosystem, offering numerous examples and case studies that illustrate its application across different industries and scenarios.

Example

Suppose User A tweets, “Just launched our new product! Check it out at our website.” User B finds the tweet interesting and wants to share it with their own followers. User B then clicks the “Retweet” button below User A’s tweet. The tweet now appears on User B’s profile with the original content from User A, and it is shared with all of User B’s followers. Additionally, the tweet shows that it was retweeted by User B, giving credit to the original author and indicating that User B found the content worth sharing.
