What is News Feed?

A news feed is an online feed full of news sources. On Facebook, the News Feed is the homepage of users’ accounts where they can see all the latest updates from their friends. (Learn all about Facebook’s News Feed here.) The news feed on Twitter is called Timeline.

For instance, in a Facebook news feed:

  1. Users see updates from their friends, such as status updates, photos, and shared links.
  2. They also see posts from pages they follow, such as news articles, blog posts, or promotional content from brands and businesses.
  3. Additionally, users may encounter sponsored posts or advertisements interspersed within their news feed, targeted based on their interests and demographics.

Overall, the news feed provides users with a personalized and dynamic stream of content, allowing them to stay informed, entertained, and connected with their social network and interests in real time.
