What is Google AdSense?

A Google marketing program that pays website publishers for allowing relevant ads from Google to run on their sites automatically. The ads can include text, images, and video. They are designed to be high quality but hidden from the website content across desktop and mobile devices. Publishers have some control in rejecting ads they don’t like and prioritizing ads they want best. Payment to publishers is usually on a pay-per-click (PPC) basis.

As long as your site ranks decently in search engine results pages, you can use AdSense to monetize.

In a travel website’s article about “Top 10 Beaches to Visit,” Google AdSense might display ads for beach resorts, travel agencies offering vacation packages, or beachwear retailers, all relevant to the article’s content.
