What is a Brand Identity?

The experience a customer has with your product or service visually. A brand identity comprises elements like the brand name, logo, color palette, and type style to convey a distinct brand image to customers. It also includes consistent word, image, voice, and tone standards.


For example, Nike’s brand identity is characterized by its iconic swoosh logo, bold typography, and the empowering “Just Do It” slogan. These visual and verbal elements are consistently applied across all of Nike’s marketing materials, products, and experiences, reinforcing the brand’s identity as one that inspires athletes and promotes a sense of determination and achievement.
